Sea freight routing to Belarus
Belarus is a land locked country, therefore for routing of sea containers to Belarus ports of Klaipeda in Lithuania or Riga in Latvia must be used. Both ports are located at the distance of about 480 kilometers from the capital city of Belarus – Minsk. Inland haulage of sea containers from Klaipeda or Riga to Minsk will be performed by experienced sea container haulage companies. Transportation time is usually 1 or 2 days, and it depends on the border situation, sometimes queues at the customs border between Belarus and Lithuania can take more than 2 days. Local consignees are usually aware of the situation. Sea containers will be delivered to a terminal appointed by the consignee for further customs clearance in Belarus. After the freight is cleared, the container will be trucked to the consignee’s warehouse for of-loading.
Your sea freight will be delivered or picked up from the main cities of Belarus: Minsk, Gomel, Grodno, Mogiliov, Brest, Bobruysk, Vitebsk or any other inland location.
