It is important to have your cargo insured, because carrier’s responsibility is limited and regulated by International Conventions.  So not always full value is compensated when cargo is damaged or lost (e.g. air freight – 20USD/kg, sea freight —  5USD/kg , road freight — 10 USD/kg).
